Men need support to break out of the box; they cannot do it on their own. We have this belief that asking for help is a sign of weakness. That's a false belief. Asking for help is a sign of courage and strength. In a study, it says, "Men who subscribe to traditional views about manhood often demonstrate limited health-seeking behavior (meaning they are less likely to seek health care when they need it), are more prone to taking risks and maybe more emotionally repressed."
The fact that you are on this page and you are curious shows that you know that deep down that their are some barriers between you and your ability to connect and be emotionally available. And that's okay. I hear for you, Boo.
